The Tyler Place Family Resort is located in a scenic part of Vermont, with a 165-acre property and a mile of private lakefront shore space. There are gardens, wooded areas, and open grassy areas. The waterfront area offers a beach-like experience for visitors, with the safety of a lake. There are a variety of watersports including windsurfing, canoeing, kayaking and paddle boating. There are also banana boat rides, guided fishing trips, a sailboat and family pontoon cruises. For the adults, there’s an Edwards Bay Champagne Party and Pontoon Cruise. If you just want to have a little fun, there’s a lake trampoline and slide raft available as well.
The accommodations are designed in the vein of a country inn. At the Inn you’ll find features such as live jazz and entertainment, a fireplace lounge and a scenic porch. Also available in addition to the inn are a variety of cottage and suite options. If you opt for a private cottage or family suite, you enjoy daily meals, housekeeping service, and entertainment. The cottages and family suites feature separate master bedrooms and lodging designed just for the little ones. Almost all of the cottages and suites also include screened-in porches, kitchenettes, and living rooms.
The Kids
Whether you have infants or teens, there’s something for all ages at The Tyler Place. What’s unique about this resort is that it’s one of the few places that accommodates not only older children but also very young babies.
For example, there are morning programs for infants where a caregiver gives personal attention to the infants, doing stimulating and nurturing activities. There are also parents’ helpers available, so mom and dad can enjoy evenings to themselves when they’re on vacation. For toddlers, there’s an early childhood program that includes one counselor for every three to four children, educational activities and outdoor and water-based time.
The Adults
While Tyler Place may be one of the world’s best resorts for kids, there’s also a focus on the parents here. There’s an onsite bike shop, a range of organized hiking tours and events, fitness and yoga instruction and a spa. The spa includes treatments such as hot stone massage, poolside chair massage, reiki, facials and reflexology.

The food concepts at Tyler Place are based on fresh, healthy and locally-sourced ingredients. Your stay includes three meals a day and they’re served buffet style. You can also opt for picnic basket lunches, and there’s of course plenty of kid-friendly menu items.
