The Best Non-Strip Las Vegas Hotels

When you think Las Vegas, you naturally think The Strip. It’s where the bulk of the action is, the bright lights and the luxury hotels.

With that being said, there are some benefits to staying away from the strip. It can be quieter, you can get a better taste of old school Vegas and you may find a better deal.

Here are some great non-strip hotel alternatives for your next trip to Vegas:

Main Street Station Casino, Brewery and Hotel

Just the name of this Main Street venue implies it has it all. It’s a traditional downtown Vegas hotel located about a block from the Freemont Street Experience. Within about a six-minute walk, you’ll find yourself at the fascinating Mob Museum, and the hotel offers a free shuttle to the strip.

There’s a lot of quirky antique and Victorian influence in the design and furnishings of this hotel but the guestrooms tend to have a more contemporary look and feel.

The Artisan Hotel Boutique

This is a great hotel for the stylish and trendy hipster looking for something a bit different in Vegas. The rooms at The Artisan are aptly filled with art and modern amenities such as iPhone docks and flatscreens.

If you want a great nightlife scene, The Artisan is a good option. You can expect to find regular parties and events happening at this style-filled venue. Hotel guests are required to be at least 21, and the pool is unique with a European design style.

If you’re coming for gambling, however, beware. The Artisan isn’t a gaming hotel.

The Golden Nugget

Nothing says retro Las Vegas quite like The Golden Nugget. It’s a longstanding staple of downtown Las Vegas, with proximity to the Freemont Street Experience. Originally built in 1946, The Golden Nugget is one of the oldest casinos remaining in Las Vegas. The casino has been seen in a variety of pop culture references including the James Bond movie Diamonds Are Forever.

The hotel includes four towers and opulent if not over the top details like marble tubs and wet bars in the rooms.

You have access to the busy casino, a water park, a spa and an array of live entertainment.

The hotel is home to more than 1000 rooms, and each boasts modern amenities and style details.

Unlike many of the other options on this list, the one isn’t even in downtown Vegas. It’s right in the middle of the desert, and it features a luxurious Mediterranean theme.

The resort is waterfront and located just a short distance from the Reflection Bay Golf Club. The site includes an outdoor pool, a hot tub, a spa and a fitness center. There’s a shuttle to the Strip if you’re ready for a bit more excitement.
